Eben Nye was born and raised in Southern New England.  He began singing and playing instruments at a very early age and always felt compelled to perform.  When he was 11 he bought his first Led Zeppelin album and the transformation began.  At the age of 15 he joined his first rock band as the lead singer and began playing clubs and parties a year later.  A few years later he bought his first electric guitar and has been singing and playing ever since.

Over the years Eben has performed with many bands in Southern Massachusetts and Northern Rhode Island.  Most notably, Hot Peanut Machine, a Rock, Soul, and R&B band in the vein of Southside Johnny and Tower of Power.  With HPM he performed an average of 100 shows per year, often sharing the stage with New England legends Roomful of Blues and John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band.

In 1998 Eben started Fat Daddy with his longtime band mate, guitarist Mike Bogolawski.  Fat Daddy was committed to performing edgy Modern and Classic Rock with the energy and intensity to keep the crowd up and moving all night.  The idea worked and the band’s high-energy show became an event at many clubs throughout Southern New England.

While all of this was going on, Eben worked under Tony Ricci as the Chief Engineer at Triad Recording Complex in Warwick, RI, and completed his BA in Music from the University of New Haven in Connecticut.

Eben moved to the Norhtern Virgina area in 2005 and began to play with various local musicians before hooking up with Dr. Fu in late 2006.

Eben plays with Gibson, Fender, Mesa Boogie, Marshall, and Ibanez.

Eben’s influences include Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and yes, Elvis.

Eben is currently listening to Audioslave, Foo Fighters, Jet, Green Day, and tons of Dr. Fu stuff!!!
