FU's
Picks: |
|||||
***FU Wins Best Local Band in DC 2006***The votes are in and,
thanks to you, we won the "A List" poll for best band in DC!
We were in a dogfight with over 50 of DC's most popular groups including our nemesis: Ted G-to-the-arber. Thanks for putting FU over the top! ![]() Limo Rides all around! Check out our awesome trophy! We're in the process of auditioning singers, so if you know anyone who can fill Sunny's leopard-colored sneakers as a FU frontperson please let us know. ***Shebeen & Broadlands Wrap-Up***
Special thanks to Amy & JillC, Sarah, Mike from Sully's, the Bandbo Crew, the GNO ladies, Kevin, and Rich "Big Tuna." We also want to give props to all those who danced it up in the rain at Broadlands Live. Who cares about a little lightning? ***FU Back for the Attack in Arlington***We have two big
Arlington-area gigs coming up this month. On the 26th (Thursday)
we make our first appearance at the Clarendon
Grill opening for Scott's
New Band (formerly LRS) (Chris also on drums).
![]() We need a big FU Army presence to ensure future Cgrill dates! On Sunday the 29th, FU returns to the Final Mile Stage at the Marine Corps Marathon. If you are running, let us know and we will give you a shout from the stage! |
Chris just
loves Vlasic
pickles. He eats them with everything: Sandwiches, pizza,
cereal, ice cream, other pickles.Ok, so he might have a little problem... |
|||||
Sunny
suggests that you learn to draw Star
Wars characters. Her anatomically-correct rendering of Obi
Wan is to the left. The site has easy-to-follow instructions for drawing each character. Our favorite = Porkins. |
||||||
Rob
says get your 80's on with Cinderella's Night
Songs. A band we saw live way too many times in the
80's. We definitely appreciate their wailing now. Who doesn't shed a tear to Nobody's Fool? Rob cranks it up to "Shake me!"

Greg
G likes to eat. So, he recommends you pick up the Olive's
Table by Todd English. Every recipe includes at least 10 garlic cloves and one stick of butter. That's good eatin'! |
||||||
Greg Y
recommends the Ford
F150. He pimped one of these out to create the FU Mobile and
it has been like a rock ever since! |

| FU Fans of the Month: Amy and Jill C! | Greg G says:
guacamole! |
|||||
| Give them four thumbs up when you seem them at a FU gig! |
Mix this up in a bowl for
dipping delight: 2 avocados 1/4 red onion 1 clove garlic 1 small ripe tomato juice from 1 lemon black pepper, salt, chili powder to taste. Greg Y would add some jalapeños. |
