Blocktoberfest***Huge Gig News***
Yes, it is true, FU is playing BLOCKtoberfest at RFK Stadium with Gin Blossoms, Violent Femmes, and about 30 other bands.  Thanks to all you FU fans who put us there!  Get your tix now before the price goes up!

In addition to our BLOCKtoberfest coup, we added a bunch of awesome gigs including: 
1.    A special Sunny/Kent FU show at Broadlands Live (9/14        opening for the Reflex),
2.    The Falls Church Fall Festival (9/15)
3.    Clarendon Day (9/29)
4.    The Marine Corps Marathon (10/28)
5.    FU Year's Eve at RiRa (12/31)

Rira***Pure RiRa***
FU kicked the ass out of RiRa last month.  It was a true rock show with ladies dancing on the stage all night and the Chalice in full effect.  We return to RiRa on 9/15.  Do not miss this next one.
scott***South Riding***
FU returned to the South Riding summer concert series for the third year in a row.  This time, we brought some secret weapons.  We had Scott from Scott's New Band sitting in on vocals.  He was amazing!

Sunny FU made a guest appearance and rocked our dance set, and new FU friend Kent took the mic for a tune and sold (no lie) 30 FU shirts.

We played our first wedding gig.  It was a blast!  Congratulations to Laurel and Brad, and thanks for the good times.

This was a wild party.  We got to see the Chalice used in a wedding toast.  We saw Eben eat 5 pork sandwiches, and we enjoyed Chris running around the party with a pig's head over his face.  Good times!

As usual, the Chalice partied too hard.  It went missing for about an hour after the toast and then appeared like a damaged Excalibur in the swimming pool.  Rob was able to fish it out, but it is going to need some repair work.
 ssrChris has been watching the DVD extras for the Shawshank Redemption all month.

FU Fan of the Month:  The Chalice! Who's Wearing FU this month?
ChaliceThe Chalice as fan of the month?  Are you kidding?  No way.  The Chalice gave its all recently and needs to be commended.  It was hoisted by many a fan a RiRa,  it took a huge hit off the PA at McGinty's, and went for a swim at the wedding.  The Chalice brings it every damn night.  Give it up!  cuzJill C converts yet another FU fan!  Gold!
